Looking for something fun to do with the kids this October? The Hub in Letham has a fantastic line-up of free and low-cost activities to keep families entertained all holiday long. From science and slime to cinema and socials, there’s something for everyone.
Breakfast Club
Start your mornings right at The Hub’s Breakfast Club, running Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 9.30am to 11am during the school holidays. Enjoy cereal, toast, fruit, juice, tea and coffee, all completely free. There will also be games to play and time to relax together before heading out for the day. Open to all families with school-aged children (children must be accompanied by an adult).
STEM Fun
Join STEM Squad for two exciting afternoons of science-themed fun with a snack included.
- Blast Off! (Monday 13th October, 2pm-4pm) invites children to design, build and launch their own rockets, compete in paper plane challenges and even test out a mega rocket launcher.
- Slime Time! (Monday 20th October, 2pm-4pm) lets kids get hands-on making their own fluffy, stretchy and sparkly slime, all the fun of science without the mess at home.
Pre-booking is required as places are limited.
Movie Time
It’s movie time at The Hub. Come along for a cosy film day with free popcorn and drinks.

- Hotel Transylvania on Tuesday 21st October
Both from 11.30am-1.30pm.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, and booking is essential.
Lego Fun 4 All
Bring your creativity to Lego Fun 4 All on Friday 17th and 24th October from 6pm-8pm. These evenings are open to all ages, with tea, coffee and juice available. It’s free to attend and perfect for a family night out where everyone can join in the building fun.
Saturday Night Socials
Every Saturday night at The Hub (6pm-8pm) offers something new. Enjoy quizzes, games and themed nights with hot dogs, soup and sandwiches.
- 4th October – Quiz Night
- 11th October – Beetle Drive and Hot Dogs
- 18th October – Games Night with Soup and Sandwiches
- 25th October – Bingo Night with Hot Dogs (£2.50 per book of 6)
These social evenings are a great way to meet others in the community and have a laugh together. Donations for prizes are always welcome.
